The PC

You see it everywhere, wherever you go. You cannot miss it. You can choose to ignore it, but it will haunt you. It all started less than a year back and now its spread like wild fire.  And not you cannot close your eyes to the “PHONE CONDOM”

The other day I was travelling on the bus on my way to work. My co-passenger, who seemed not to have yet lost his senses, took out his phone from his pocket and there it was. His phone was covered up in this black material, the telecom equivalent of a condom.

Common characteristics of PC (that’s Phone Condom duh!!)

-It’s almost always black (got anything to do with being “Tall, Dark & Handsome??)

-It will be a very tight fit on the phone (the tighter the better)

-Very easily available (if the actual condoms were available so easily I guess, ppl would be more protected I guess J )

It’s all got to do with Indians and their obsession for preserving things for posterity, common examples are ppl having bought new cars will NEVER remove the plastic covers till the day it thankfully tears off after a long and painful life.

Wonder what other things Indians will come out with condoms for. Here’s  a top contender list:

-Someone will buy the Taj Mahal and the cover it up with Tarpaulin

-Cricket would be played with bats covered in bubble wrap

Anyways, coming back to the topic of the post wonder what would happen if phones DID mate. Imagine if a 1100 nailed a W550, would we get a phone that would have a 7 day battery life and play great music or a phone whose juice barely lasts for a day and doesn’t do anything more than make calls? Then brands like Noricsson or Motokia would be available. The “living dangerously” variety of phone would prefer the Chinese mobiles for a bang.

Until next time, play safe ;)

Life, Universe & Everything

Sigh!!!
I awe at the beauty of the human mind.
I despise the frailty of the human mind.
I respect the resillience of the human mind.

There is this story of a monk and his disciple on their journey. They reach a river and at this river is a young damsel seeking their help. She cannot cross the river because the current is too strong for her delicate frame. The monk simply picks her up and in his arms she crosses the river. The monk and the disciple move onwards on their journey. After some miles looking at the confusion in the disciple's eyes the monk asks him what is bothering him. The young disciple says how could you hold that woman like that, I thought you had taken the wow of celibacy? The monk coolly replies I dropped the woman at the other bank, you haven't.

......

How many emotions could be crammed in vast expanse of the mind? Why is it that our emotions are not controlled by us but by our surrounding?

I am amazed how my emotions changed from anger to fear to humiliation to gratitude to elation to comtemplative in a matter of a few hours. It was only yesterday that anger was spewing from my mind.. it was running to through every vein in my body and my mind...

But as destiny weaved its fabric how I realized my folly, it was as if all the walls were closing in but I had that thread of hope to which I clung to for my dear life. There are forces which are more powerful, whose power we can't even begin to contemplate....that ray of light.

And then, the brainwave, It was like clockwork all the pieces of the puzzle fell together as if by magic or have they soon we will know....

Probably one of the most iconic dialogs from Hollywood..

Its been a long hiatus to be precise from Wednesday, May 10, 2006 to Today - Thrusday, March 5, 2009.. thats exactly 1030 days (WOW) A lot of things have changed in these 1k+ days...

Its truly a nostalgic feeling to read by earlier post...BOY!! those were the days I had to worry only about getting through in the exams and acquiring & manually photocopying assignments. When they say the grass is always greener on the other side, they've nailed it on the head.

Have a lot of catching up to do

[Mental note to self: Will try to post more frequently then last time...I mean 1000 days WTF]
